In 1997, Paul B. Manning founded PBM Products, LLC, and launched the first private label and store brand infant formulas in the $2.8 billion U.S. infant formula industry. Since then, PBM has been distributing private label infant formula products to more than 20,000 retail locations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
While achieving phenomenal success with private label and store brand infant formulas, Bright Beginnings Nutritionals, part of the PBM family of companies, began the national distribution of our own brand, Bright Beginnings™, the first sensibly priced, DHA/ARA-enriched brand of infant formula in the nation. In 2003, a major nationwide marketing campaign featuring actress, model, and new mom Brooke Shields supported the launch, and today the brand is the fastest-growing infant formula in the country.*
Our affiliate company, PBM Nutritionals, LLC, manufactures Bright Beginnings™ and store brand infant formula products in the only ISO 9001:2000-certified infant formula-manufacturing facility in the country. Our state-of-the-art facility has been manufacturing infant formula for more than 20 years.
Today PBM is one of the fastest-growing, privately owned consumer products companies in the country. Headquartered in Gordonsville, Virginia, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, we manufacture, market, and distribute infant formula, as well as market and distribute infant foods, pediatric and adult nutritionals, diabetic products, pharmaceutical products, and infant feeding systems.
